MATCH PREVIEW / Margate v Dorking Wanderers (Bostik Premier)
Margate v Dorking Wanderers (Bostik Premier)
The Blues lost their unbeaten start to the season thanks to a second half strike at the Maurice Rebak Stadium, however their performance probably warranted at least a point as they created the better chances.
Steve Watt has no new injury concerns ahead of the game but with two games in three days he could well make changes from Saturdays defeat with the likes of Orlando Smith and Jordan Chiedozie hoping to be given more time to be able to show what they can do.
Whilst there has been no meetings between these two sides before, there will be one familiar face at Hartsdown Park with a connection to both sides as Dorking feature former Margate Captain Luke Moore in their side.
Whilst the Gate suffered defeat on Saturday, today’s visitors earned themselves a valuable point at home to high flying Staines Town in a Surrey derby in the blazing sunshine.
The Blues will also have to be wary of Midfielder Matt Briggs who continues to impress for Wanderers amid higher league clubs rumoured interest.
As well as the game today is Bank Holiday Family Fun Day at Hartsdown Park with face painting, inflatables and a chance for 11 of our mini-gators to be chosen to walk out with the starting eleven ahead of kick off.
As always though if you can’t be at Hartsdown Park this afternoon then you can stay right up to date on our Twitter feed @margate_fc from around 2pm.
