Steve Watt’s side would have been frustrated to not be sat on seven points now instead of five as they lost a 2-0 lead at home to Leiston last Saturday to draw 2-2.

The ‘Gate will be able to welcome new striker Jay May to the squad after he joined from Hythe Town on Thursday afternoon, meanwhile Jordan Chiedozie could play more minutes as he returns to fitness after signing from Concorde Rangers last week.

Other than long term injuries to Alex Flisher and Liam Enver-Marum there appears to be no new injury worries for the Gate.

Wingate & Finchley head into this game off the back of their first win of the campaign after last week’s 1-0 away success at Needham Market.

The hosts started their season with two heavy defeats to Merstham and Harrow but last week’s league win was followed up with a 3-0 Velocity Sports Trophy win over Haringey Borough.

Kick off at the Maurice Rebak Stadium is 3pm but as always if you can’t be there then you can stay right up to date on the Twitter feed @margate_fc from 2pm.
