McFarlane joined at the back end of the 2016/17 season from Faversham having worked with manager Steve Watt before and leaves to join Herne Bay.
“KJ (Khalil) is a brilliant young player but at this moment in time he needs to play games to further his development and the opportunity to join a good Herne Bay side is one that he couldn’t turn down”.
“We look forward to welcoming KJ back one day with further experience under his belt”.
