Family Fun Day This Saturday
Match day at Hartsdown Park is going to be extra special on Saturday 24 August as the club hosts its first McDonalds Family Fun Day of the season.
Ahead of kick-off against Bet Victor Isthmian League rivals Lewes, there will be a number of activities going on for the whole family to enjoy.
Collaborating with the club’s Youth Section and with the support of sponsors McDonalds and Alfie Gough Trust, guests to HDP will be able to take part in the following:
• Lucky dip
• Tin Can Alley
• Tombola – Children & Adults
• Ball Pit
• Elephant Hoopla
• Hook a bag
• Various games
Turnstiles will open from 1:30pm with a Happy Hour taking place from 13:30-14:30.
- Guinness £3.00
- Dark Fruits £3.00
- Fosters £3.00
- IPA £3.00
- Small bottle of wine £3.00
Chilli and nachos will also be on sale for £3.50.
Older supporters are encouraged to take part in our Half Time Penalty Shoot Out competition. Donations to the Alife Gough Trust will grant over 16s the opportunity to grace the Hartsdown Park pitch at the break to try and win our knock-out competition. With a signed programme and free drink token available for the victorious participant. Sign up for this will be administered in the Club Shop and offered on a first come, first served basis.
Margate Youth Club teams will be playing an important part in the day, with a prize draw taking place within the club to select teams to be ball boys/girls, walk out with the First Team and provide a guard of honour for both sides.
Besides launching the club’s recent sponsorship with McDonalds local branches in Thanet, the Family Fun Day will also help raise money for the Alfie Gough Trust.
It is hoped many of the club’s young players, volunteers, coaches and family members besides members of the local community, will come down to enjoy the day of activities and the showpiece event, the big match-day at 3pm.
Tickets for Margate versus Lewes can be purchased in advance online by clicking here.
You can also show your support by clicking attend on our Facebook page and inviting your friends and family along to the day too.
