Blues Continue Fine League Form
Margate overcome illness and injury to make it thirteen unbeaten in the Isthmian South-East on Saturday afternoon, as they beat East Grinstead 2-0 away from home.
The ‘Gate were missing number one goalkeeper Tom Wray through illness, whilst Lewis Knight and Ben Greenhalgh were sidelined after picking up knocks against Ramsgate on Boxing Day.
Despite missing players, the Blues made a fast start and were ahead after 20 minutes as Ibrahim Olutade continued his fine scoring form this season.
With only a one goal advantage, Margate knew they would need a second, and they got just that in the second half as Louie Atkins netted to continue their recent fantastic form.
Margate return to action on New Years Day as they make the short trip along the Thanet Way to face Herne Bay.
