Hastings United (H) - 20th December 2022
Margate welcome Hastings United to Hartsdown Park on Tuesday evening as they play their first competitive fixture since a 0-0 draw with Billericay Town on Friday 2nd December 2022.
The ‘Gate are currently seven games unbeaten after an unbeaten November which saw them progress into the quarter-finals of the Kent Senior Cup and the Velocity Trophy.
The “U”’s travel to Hartsdown Park 11th in the league standings, however they arrive having not won in their previous four games, having drawn two and lost two.
Margate will still be without Taylor Fisher (shoulder) and Ade Cole (suspended), whilst Manager Andy Drury has concerns over Ethan Kaiser (virus) and Harry Hudson (virus).
Fans will have to think back to 2016when the two sides last met as they clashed in an FA Cup tie, drawing 2-2 at Hartsdown Park, before the Blues won the replay 2-1 at Hastings. In terms of league meetings, this game will be the first league game in ten years when the two sides played out a 1-1 draw at Hartsdown Park October 2012.
A win on Tuesday for Drury’s side could see them climb to 13th in the division ahead of Christmas.
Kick-off at Hartsdown Park is 7:45pm, however if you can’t join us then you can keep up to date on Twitter at @margate_fc from 7:15pm
