Herne Bay v Margate (Kent Senior Cup)

Herne Bay v Margate (Kent Senior Cup)

Margate make the short trip down the Thanet Way to face Herne Bay tonight to face Herne Bay in the second round of the Kent Reliance Cup.

Manager Steve Watt is likely to name a squad mixed of first teamers and development squad as the Blues look to progress to the third round of the County Cup.

There is no doubt that that the ‘Gate will have one eye on their FA Cup clash against Kings Langley on Saturday, meanwhile the hosts tonight will also have an eye on their FA Cup tie away at Horsham.

The Blues could use Jay May and Jordan Chiedozie as they can’t feature on Saturday due to being cup tied and suspended respectively.

Both of these sides come into the game off the back of large league wins on Saturday with Herne Bay winning 4-0 whilst the Blues ran out 5-0 winners at Worthing.

One familiar face in the Herne Bay side that could feature for the hosts tonight is Khalil McFarlane who started this season with the Blues.

Kick off at Winch’s field is 7:45pm but as always if you can’t be there then you can stay right up to date on the clubs official Twitter feed @margate_fc
