MATCH PREVIEW / Worthing v Margate (Bostik Premier)
The Blues have lost just once in the league so far and sit in 9th place after a 1-0 win over Dorking Wanderers on Bank Holiday at Hartsdown Park thanks to Jordan Chiedozie’s first goal for the club.
Worthing have endured a difficult start to the season, however things off the pitch seem to be playing a big part in their early struggles. The Rebels were forced to switch their first five fixtures to away games after their new 3G pitch failed the new FIFA test.
The Sussex side have now agreed to play their immediate ‘home’ games at the home of neighbours Bognor Regis as they try to resolve their pitch problems.
No points from their opening five games mean they sit bottom of the Bostik Premier League, although Saturday will be their first ‘home’ game of the season.
Margate Manager Steve Watt has no new injury problems ahead of the game although they can recall Jay May to the side after he missed the Blues FA Cup win over East Grinstead due to being cup tied after featuring for Hythe Town in the Preliminary round.
Kick off at Nyewood Lane is 3pm but as always if you can’t be there then you can stay right up to date on the clubs official twitter feed @margate_fc from 2pm.
