Ladies Enjoy Emphatic Win
Margate faced Herne Bay for the second time in three weeks as they hit the road for the final derby of the season on Sunday afternoon.
With a full squad, the Blues looked to secure the three points and excel their league campaign as they put pressure on the top three.
Margate Ladies looked confident from the off making an attempt on goal in the opening minute of the game, however a lapse in concentration saw the home side score the first goal inside ten minutes.
The 'Gate showed desire as they continued to put pressure on Herne Bay and tested the keeper on a number of occasions. Eventually the efforts paid off as the first goal was scored when Speller slid the ball past the keeper from a tight angle on the right of goal.
Margate began to thrive with three more first half goals from Chapman, Barton and Conabeer making the score-line 4-1 at half time.
