MATCH PREVIEW / Herne Bay Reserves (A) - 16th April 2023
In late March the teams met for the first time this season with Margate Ladies having the home advantage. Debut goals against their previous club for both Chapman and Barton, helped The 'Gate secure a convincing 7-0 win against a side fighting to escape relegation.
There's been just one league fixture since the last derby with Margate securing a convincing 9-0 win away to Borough Green and continuing their run of 5 league games undefeated.
A midweek friendly against a strong Millwall Lionesses side gave Margate Ladies opportunity to develop and strengthen a side that's looking confident and capable coming into the closing stages of the season.
Bringing a full squad into this week’s away fixture, the team will be looking to build on their goal difference which currently stands at an impressive plus 41 and steal a further three points, closing the gap on a top three position.
For fans wishing to make the short journey to Herne Bay, kick off is 3:15pm at the MBS Stadium with entrance charged at £2.
