After the success of our Lionesses last summer in the European Championships, women’s football has seen an upward trend in participation and audience figures, and that is no different here at Hartsdown Park.
Within our Youth section we have almost 100 girls playing across all groups, feeding into our senior side who currently sit 5th in the South Eastern Counties Women’s Football Premier Division after their 1-0 win over Parkwood Rangers on Sunday.
As well as a lap of appreciation for our teams, we also raised money for ‘The Loft’ Charity who supply furniture to vulnerable people across Thanet. Thanks to the supporters on the day and the sponsors on the day we were delighted to present the charity with a £384 donation.
