Join Us For Charity Event This Sunday

This coming Sunday 15th August sees Margate FC host a fantastic Community event at Hartsdown Park.

The Club have partnered with the Kent Association for the Blind (KAB) to welcome runners from the south of England to participate in a 10K, 5K or family fun run to raise funds for the Kent Charity.

Supporters of the club will understand what a huge difference the charity made to our stadium announcer Ryan Day’s life after he suffered with severe sight loss in 2018.

“KAB have played such an important role in helping me overcome such huge challenges so to be able to partner them with Margate FC which I am so passionate about is a real delight and I am looking forward to Sunday,” Day said.

“I hope lots of Margate FC fans can come out and support this fantastic event and then stay on with us and take in the Ladies game against Maidstone United after which will be a fantastic match”.

Registrations for all three runs are open on the day from 8:30am, however those just looking to support can attend Hartsdown Park where various market stalls will be around the perimeter of the pitch, as well you can cheer the runners home as they complete their gruelling challenge.

The runners taking part on the day will be warmed up by former Gladiator ‘Hunter’ at 9:45am.

Hot food and beverages will be available throughout the day, as well as some fun activities to experience, including visually impaired sports.

The fun doesn’t stop there though as 3pm as Evan Paris Ladies side welcome Maidstone United Ladies for a friendly which is available free to watch for all supporters.
