Margate FC Post 16 Academy has enjoyed a successful start to 2020 and now they are looking for players to help build on their recent success as they host trials at Hartsdown Park on Friday 21st February 2020 between 10am-12pm.
The young Blues squad kick started the New Year with two impressive wins back to back as they overcome Ravens Wood away from home 1-0 before a professional display saw them despatch of TSC St Georges Academy 3-0 at Hartsdown Park.
Both performances highlighted the continuous development of the squad who continue to get stronger as the season progresses, undoubtedly the performance against TSC being the most accomplished this season.
One player whose performance in that comprehensive win was the outstanding, Seb Gallagher. He played wide right and constantly caused problems for the opposition with his pace and power playing a vital role in the victory. Gallagher has grown in confidence as the season has progressed and he was undoubtedly being boosted by his first team debut in January.
The Blues couldn’t quite maintain their perfect start to 2020 as they were defeated at Hartsdown Park 3-1 by a strong Dover Athletic side, however the boys return to action at Hartsdown Park this Wednesday as they welcome Coopers for a 2pm kick off looking to make it three wins from four since the turn of the New Year.
