MATCH PREVIEW / Ramsgate v Margate (WW Martin Thanet Cup)
The Blues will look to bounce back from their defeat to Bostik South side East Grinstead Town on Tuesday evening as they look to retain the Thanet Cup sponsored by WW Martin for another year.
‘Gate boss Steve Watt will have one last look at his side before their season opener next Saturday away to Thurrock. Watt is likely to field a mixture of first team and development squad players for tonight’s clash.
Ramsgate have enjoyed a mixed pre-season and will also look to get one over on their closest rivals as they prepare for another season in the Bostik South. Lloyd Blackman, the former Margate striker has assembled a useful looking squad at Southwood which will expect to be at the top end of the league after pulling well clear of relegation last term.
Last season Margate retained the trophy with a penalty win over the Rams with then Gate Defender Manny Parry scoring the winning penalty.
Kick off at Southwood is 7:45pm but as always if you can’t be there then you can stay right up to date with the action on our Twitter account margate_fc from 7pm.
