MATCH PREVIEW / Margate v East Grinstead (Emirates FA Cup 1st Qualifying Round)
Margate v East Grinstead (Emirates FA Cup 1st Qualifying Round)
The Blues have enjoyed success in the completion in the past but haven’t reached the 1st round proper for 15 years when they faced Leyton Orient.
The Blues haven’t failed to get to the 2nd qualifying round in eight years but there is no doubt that a wounded East Grinstead side will push them all the way at Hartsdown Park as they look to reach the next round for the first time since 1972.
The Wasps as they are known endured a difficult Bank Holiday Weekend with two defeats which saw them slump to 21st in the Bostik South.
Margate enjoyed a mixed weekend themselves with defeat at Wingate & Finchley but they managed to bounce back on Monday with a 1-0 win over newly promoted Dorking Wanderers at Hartsdown Park.
These two sides have met already this season in a pre-season friendly which the Wasps won 1-0 at the GAC Stadium.
Should the fixture end level tomorrow a replay will be played at the GAC Stadium on Tuesday 5th September 2017 with kick off at 19:15.
