INTERVIEW / Henry: "No Limit" On Unbeaten Run
Henry: "No Limit" On Unbeaten Run
Margate Striker Korrey Henry says there is “no limit” as to how long Margate can stay unbeaten after making it six unbeaten last weekend away at Bishop’s Stortford.
The ‘Gate welcome Billericay Town to Hartsdown Park on Friday night, and Henry says they can stay unbeaten with the right attitude.
“All the way from the staff, Andy (Drury), Prez (Reece Prestedge) and El (Elliot Leveson) down to the boys in the changing room have belief that we can stay unbeaten”.
“I wouldn’t say there is a limit on how long it can last as long as we have the right attitude. It is all about picking up points now and seeing where that can take us”.
On a personal note, Henry returned to the side against Folkestone Invicta in the Velocity Trophy after suffering a groin injury, and he said it “felt good” to be back on the scoresheet.
“It felt so good to score against Bishop’s Stortford. We grafted for 90 minutes which is what you have to do when you are a striker. The reaction I got from my team mates was great, everyone celebrating with me and I couldn’t be happier”.
The ‘Gate earned their first point at Bishop’s Stortford for the first time since 2016, and Henry says the squad played “smart” to earn the draw.
“The old saying slow and steady wins the race comes to mind. We played smart at Bishop’s Stortford and got the draw. It is now about building on that and moving forward and getting something from the Billericay game on Friday night”.
The ‘Gate welcome Billericay to Hartsdown Park on Friday evening with kick-off at 7:45pm and you can purchase your tickets on-line byclicking here.
