Thankyou Evan Paris
Margate Football Club can confirm that Ladies Senior Manager Evan Paris has stepped down from his role with immediate effect.
Paris took charge of the side five seasons ago and has overseen an incredible rise with the emergence of a fantastic set of players over the years.
Despite another successful season, Paris steps down after other personal commitments meant that he no longer felt he could dedicate the time required to manage the side.
On his departure, Paris said: “It has been an honour to see this side develop and progress like it has”.
“I love Margate Football Club and will miss it massively, however I do not have the time currently to continue. This club looks after its teams. We had all the support from everyone at the club which assisted us to be able to create such a great squad with the facilities we have at Hartsdown Park”.
He continued: “I have some other personal commitments that mean I no longer have the time required to manage but I will be supporting the transition and will be cheering the Ladies on all the way forward”.
The Club has begun its search to replace Evan and invites any interested parties to e-mail secretary@margate-fc.com with their football CV’s.
Non-Executive Director Ryan Day added that it was a sad day for the Club, but insisted the Ladies side remain integral at Hartsdown Park.
Day said: “It is a huge loss to lose someone like Evan from our club. Evan dedicated so many hours of his time to the role and there are not enough words to show our gratitude towards him.”
“The Ladies side have achieved so may good moments under Evans leadership and the task now is to progress further and build upon the incredible work undertaken by Evan”.
