INTERVIEW / Ohman Looks To Build Foundations
Ohman Looks To Build Foundations
By Ryan Day
Margate goalkeeper Pat Ohman says they have “something to build on” after starting the season with two consecutive clean sheets.
The 26-year-old shot stopper joined the Blues this summer after a spell with Carshalton Athletic which was cut short due to Covid, and after two clean sheets he is starting to feel right at home at Hartsdown Park.
“It has been a good start. Obviously we won 1-0 away at Wingate and then another clean sheet against Carshalton and I think it can only get better from here”.
“We want to do as well as we can and to start with two clean sheets is something to build on”.
Ohman put in another fine display against his former club by making two excellent saves to keep his former team mates out, but he predicts things will be even better once he gets to know his new colleagues.
“It is a brand new squad here and it takes a few games to get to know each other and settle in but so far the back five has been spot on”.
The Blues face a frantic weekend with a trip to Cheshunt before welcoming Danny Kedwell’s Cray Wanderers to Hartsdown Park on Bank Holiday Monday.
“Bank Holiday is always fun and it is a time when you can come out of it with another six points and that is what we are aiming to do”.
