Haringey Borough (A) - 24th February 2024

By Josh Cole

Another away day for the ‘Gate as we travel to north London to take on Haringey Borough in a crucial match for both teams’ survival chances!

Last time out we finally tasted a victory as we beat Canvey Island 3-2 at Hartsdown Park. You can read the match report by clicking here.

There will be a new face in the team on Saturday with Micheal Dome-Bemwin being signed to help our attacking options. We will be without Vinnie Bowman who continues to trial at Millwall FC.

OPPONENTS SEASON SO FAR:

Haringey are sat second from bottom on only 18 points from 31 games. They started the season winless in their first nine games (one draw, eight losses) before they managed to win 2-0 away at Cheshunt. There was another gap between wins but this time, the winless run of another nine games featured five draws and four losses which included the 1-1 draw at Hartsdown Park where they snatched a point in the 95th minute. They stunned promotion chasers Billericay by winning 2-1 away from home but returned to losing but unfortunately for the London-based club, they got hammered 4-1 by Hashtag and 6-0 by Carshalton, both games at Coles Park. Their final win came at home to Canvey straight after these two heavy defeats on the 6th of January and are currently on an eight-game winless run which has cemented them as top relegation candidates.

Haringey sit dead last in the home table, picking up just one win in front of their own fans all season. Margate’s away form has been similar to that of their opponents’ home form, with the ‘Gate winning just once on the road.
