Margate Appoint First Virtual Manager

Margate FC is making a move into the virtual world of football and are proud to unveil our first ever Virtual Football Manager, Jonny, also known as JDFM.

Jonny is a YouTuber who creates Football Manager content. Now, if you have never heard of Football Manager or FM, here is a little explanation:

Jonny will be taking over as Margate FC manager in the virtual world of Football Manager, looking to take The Gate on a journey up the football pyramid to (hopefully!) domestic and European success. Videos will be released several times a week over on the JDFM channel and you will find catch-up videos over on Gate TV as well.

We want you as fans and viewers to be part of the journey. You will have opportunities to ask questions of the new virtual Gaffer at his virtual press-conferences. If tactics or players aren’t working, you’re even able to give him your suggestions. You will also have your own opportunity to be in the game and to see Margate grow on a much quicker timescale in a virtual landscape.

See the process as a story. A chance to watch Margate lift the Champions League. A chance to move into a 60,000-seater stadium. A chance to break transfer records.
