Margate v Carshalton - 22nd February

Margate welcome Carshalton Athletic to Hartsdown Park looking to extend their unbeaten run to four games, albeit their previous three results have been draws in the BetVictor Isthmian Premier League.

The Blues again conceded in the dying moments on Tuesday evening as they held play-off chasing Hornchurch to a share of the points at a wet and blustery Hartsdown Park. This weekend’s visitors have title ambitions of their own currently sitting 4th in the Isthmian Premier League table, however they were dealt a set-back as they were defeated 2-0 by East Thurrock United.

Margate have injury concerns over defender Liam Friend and one of Tuesday evenings goal scorers Adem Ramadan who left the field after picking up an injury, however, the Blues fans and Jay Saunders will be buoyed by the imminent return of Jack Richards off the bench for the last four minutes of Tuesdays game.

Margate will also be without striker Kadell Daniel who begins his three match ban after being given his marching orders in last week’s 1-1 draw with Brightlingsea Regent. Carshalton could include one name familiar to Blues fans with Kleton Perntreou keeping between the sticks for the Robins.

When these two sides met at the War Memorial Sports Ground in September it was the Robins who snatched a 1-0 win thanks to a Ricky Korboa strike. In more recent times Margate have enjoyed success against the Robins including this season’s 5-1 win in the Velocity Trophy and in the two fixtures last season, Margate remained unbeaten having won at Carshalton 2-1 and drawing at Hartsdown Park 1-1.

Kick off at Hartsdown Park is 15:00 whilst the turnstiles are open from 13:30.
