Injury Updates on Brown, Rogers and Wynter
After the roller-coaster of Margate's 3-2 win at home to Horndean and Saturday's impressive 1-0 away win at Worthing, today the club are coming to terms with news of a long -term injury suffered by Alex Brown.
After scans performed last week, the club can confirm the injury sustained by Brown during the Emirates FA Cup tie is an ALC tear that will require an operation.
This injury means Brown will sadly miss the remainder of the season. The club will be doing all it can to support Alex throughout his pending operation and recovery and wish him all the best.
In further injury news, James Rogers is to undertake a scan to determine the extent of a knee injury obtained at the weekend.
Tom Wynter is ruled out of the weekend’s trip to Concord Rangers, whilst a further assessment is made of the hamstring injury that forced the influential centre-back off after just six minutes on Saturday.
A piece of positive news from the Margate camp, is the return of Alex Flisher who joined in with training this week as he looks to complete his recovery and get back in the match day squad.
One piece of transfer news; Margate FC have released Aristide Bassele. The club would like to thank Astride for his efforts in the early part of the season and wish him all the best for the future.
With Sid Sollis cup tied, the Margate squad will be looking for a “12th man” against Concord Rangers this Saturday afternoon in the Emirates FA Cup. Book your tickets for the trip in advance by purchasing via our website here.
