Alex Brown Signs For Gate
Margate Football Club is delighted to unveil the signing of 25-year-old, Alex Brown, from Dartford FC for the 2018/19 season.
Alex began his career at Gillingham FC before joining Maidstone United making over 100 appearances for The Stones.
Alex made a temporary transfer to Leatherhead which was made permanent towards the latter part of the 2015/2016 season.
Alex then joined Dartford in 2016 where he has enjoyed a prolific spell.
First Team Coach Mike Sandmann expressed his delight at securing the midfielder’s signature for the upcoming campaign.
“Alex is a fantastic addition to the group, he was a regular for Dartford last year and I look forward to working with him again. Alex will bring goals from midifield as well as his hard-woring attitude. I’m pretty confident he will also become a fans’ favourite here at Margate.”
The Gate fought off stiff competition to capture the highly sought player with Sandmann adding;
“It’s great testament to the club we’re able to attract a player of Alex’s calibre and recruit someone whose ambitions match our own.”
