Margate Women Appoint New Manager
Margate Women FC are pleased to announce the appointment of David Woodgate as First Team Manager.
Dave said "This is my first role as a manager of a Women's team, but after taking the team Sunday against Kings Hill and witnessing a very professional and dominant performance, it was an opportunity I couldn't turn down".
Woodgate currently holds the Head of Girls position at Margate Youth FC, "I've coached at Margate Youth FC over the past 13 years, and have supported the development of players, I currently also coach the U13 girls, who have been very successful".
He continues "over the past few months, I worked closely with previous manager Steph, and we shared the same vision on where we would like the women's team to be, and I will continue to build on this model"
Dave will be joined by George Adams as assistant manager, William O'Keeffe and Dan Barrett first team coaches, and John Huffman as first aid support.
We wish Dave, the staff, and all the players well.
Dave kicks off is reign this Sunday at Hartsdown Park, as Margate take on Maidstone with a 4pm kick off.
