Margate travel to Surrey looking to remain unbeaten in this seasons BetVictor Premier Division after drawing their opening two games. The Blues were six minutes from their first win on Tuesday night at Hornchurch, however a Lewwis Spence equaliser levelled the game, leaving Margate 13th in the early league standings. Manager Jay Saunders will still be without Michael Abnett otherwise he can select from a fully fit squad.
Kingstonian have started in exactly the same form as Margate with two draws from their opening two games. The Ks saw no less than 16 new arrivals this summer, mostly all of them from Merstham after they decided to follow former Merstham Manager Hayden Bird. The Ks are fully fit ahead of the visit of the Blues and will go in search of their first win this campaign.
Fixtures between these two sides have seen plenty of goals in the past, with both sides enjoying success over each other in recent years. Last season saw the K’s win the home fixture by a 2-1 score-line, on-loan Colchester Midfielder George Brown scoring the ‘Gate’s goal. Back at Hartsdown Park under the guidance of Jay Saunders though Margate earned the three points thanks to a solitary goal from Noel Leighton. In the previous eleven meetings between these two sides there have been 32 goals scored including two 3-3 draws.
