THREE BRIDGES’ SEASON SO FAR:

Our opponents for today sit in the thick of the relegation battle, in 19th with nine points from 12 games. They started off the 2024/25 campaign with a 1-2 home defeat to Sheppey. Three Bridges then switched to the FA Cup preliminary round where they drew 0-0 to Saltdean in the away leg and won 3-1 in the replay sending them through. Back to the league they remained winless for the next two games drawing to Phoenix Sports away (2-2), a home defeat to Merstham (1-3). Then in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup they suffered a huge 6-1 away loss to Ashford United. The FA Trophy first qualifying round came, and they won away at Hythe 1-2. However, that didn’t carry into the league, as they returned to losing against Littlehampton in the league (2-3) and got knocked out of the FA Trophy in the second qualifying round by Herne Bay (3-0). They then started ton pick up decent form, drawing against Eastbourne and AFC Croydon, losing in the Sussex County Cup against Lewes but finally winning in the league against Sevenoaks. However, they then lost to us at home 0-2 before they bounced back to win away at Broadbridge Heath. Since that win, they have lost three on the bounce, at home to East Grinstead (0-1), away at Sittingbourne (3-0) and Littlehampton (4-3).
