Squad Update

By Josh Cole

The club can provide the fans with a squad update.

We can confirm that captain, Sam Blackman, missed out on Saturday through injury. His persistent calf injury, which has caused problems for a few months, was the issue again on Saturday. Hopefully Sam is back in action for us next week for our last home game of the season.

Academy and first team player, Vinnie Bowman, has been in and out of the side because his trial with Millwall was continued. Vinnie has had to juggle commitments for the last 7 weeks, but it was good to have Vinnie available for our game against Hornchurch.

The club can confirm that assistant manager, Colin Reid, has left the club. We wish Colin all the best for the future and thank him for efforts whilst part of Margate Football Club.

Tyrone Sterling remains sidelined due to a hamstring injury. Recovery from this type of injury needs to be managed carefully and cannot be rushed. We wish Ty all the best with his recovery.

Despite Saturday’s defeat, we have had a revival of late going five unbeaten. Let's hope results go our way in the next couple of weeks. Your support, as always, is greatly appreciated. You can get your tickets for the final home game of the season on Saturday by clicking here.
