Seven Reasons To Support The Blues This Saturday
Margate FC return home to Hartsdown Park this Saturday for our Half Term Takeover. Steve Watt’s side are on a fantastic unbeaten run in the Bostik League and we’re searching for our biggest crowd of the season to help the team record a seventh win in a row.
In the hope you may clear your diary to join us this weekend, we’ve come up with seven reasons why you should come along to support The Gate with friends, family and football fans.
1) The Blues are in blistering form. Six wins in a row for a squad managing a significant number of injuries and suspensions is well worth a pat on the back. But with the play-offs in sight, this team are focused on pushing forwards and you can play a key part as “12th man” by making lots of noise this Saturday.
2) Margate Youth FC are holding a Saturday morning session from 10am at Hartsdown Park and inviting new faces to enjoy for FREE. Each participant will be given a wristband which gets them free entry to both our games later on in the day.
3) Both our games? Yes, you read correctly. It’s two games for a tenner this weekend. As well as the first team taking on Burgess Hill, Hartsdown Park will host our rising stars, as our Under 23s play FFDTV. FFDTV showcase footballing talent from around the world, so this 12pm show-opener will certainly be worth coming down for.
4) We have loads of family fun activities taking place; from speed cages to crossbar challenges, there will be lots happening and some fantastic prizes to be won, including trophies supplied by our friends at Trophies and Gifts.
5) Members of the first team will be around all afternoon to meet and greet fans and keep a close eye on how our competitions and half-time penalty shoot-out goes!
6) We have a brand-new breakfast menu and fresh (proper!) coffee on site. So, you don’t have to be outside all the time, there’s plenty being served within our bar and besides what’s on your plate, we’ll have the Sky Sports fixtures on our screens.
7) Besides all the football and sporty activities, we will also have arts and crafts going on inside our bar, where our younger fans have the opportunity to design a poster to feature in our next Match Day Magazine. In addition, Fabulous Faces will be around painting faces and adding a bit of sparkle to our Saturday.
