Blues Half Term Takeover Unveiled
It's the start of another busy month for The Gate and we are so excited to fill you in about our plans for a fantastic February.
Besides this Saturday’s clash against Lowestoft, we have just the one home game at Hartsdown - which feels like nothing after our January Blues, does it?
With that in mind, we’ve planned a HUGE Blues Half-Term Takeover on Saturday 17th February. Not only do our first team have a massive match against Burgess Hill, we have loads planned before the game to offer fans and people of all ages something to enjoy at the end of the half term break.
A day jam-packed, we have put together a full itinerary (which is subject to change and growth over the next few weeks)…
10:00-11:30
Our FA Licensed coaches will host a massive youth football training session on our 3G. Whilst inside, our bar will be open serving breakfast and delicious coffee, alongside a range of games and an arts and crafts table for young supporters (who don’t want a football at their feet) to enjoy.
Breakfast Menu
- Mug of Typhoo tea
- £1.20
- Mug of Dowie Egbert’s coffee
- £1.20
- Orange / Pineapple juice - £1.30
- Tea & Toast (2 rounds of white or brown toast and a hot drink) - £2.20 per person
- Tea & Pastries (selection of mini patisseries and a hot drink)
-£3.50 per person
- Eggs Benedict (2 toasted muffins, ham, poached egg & hollandaise sauce)
- £7.50
- Eggs Royale (2 toasted muffins, smoked salmon, poached egg & hollandaise sauce)
- £8.50
- Fresh fruit
- 50p per item
- Muller thick & creamy yogurts
- £1.00
Just order at the bar and we will do the rest!
Oh, and did we mention…young fans who take part in the morning will get a FREE wristband gaining entry to our Bostik League game later in the afternoon?
12:00-14:45
From midday, you’ll be able to watch The Gate’s future stars in action as our Under 23s take to the pitch to play.
All our catering facilities will be open serving food and drinks plus over on our 5s we will have zorb football, speed guns, football darts and crossbar challenges with exclusive prizes to be won until kick off. First team players will also be around attempting to get the best scores, so you won’t want to miss out.
15:00-17:00
At 3pm, it’s kick-off time for The Gate who will be on the hunt for an important win against Burgess Hill. We will host our popular half time penalty shoot out and announce the winners of our Speed Gun and Crossbar competitions. To be in with a chance of winning the prizes we have lined up, you will need to stay around for the game.
Throughout the day, we'll have our friends at Face Me Fabulous back again facepainting. Check out their Facebook page by clicking here.
Then, enjoy a drink and some music with us afterwards and celebrate what we are sure will be another memorable day of our brilliant season so far.
