Margate welcome Faversham Town to Hartsdown Park for our second pre-season fixture of the Andy Drury era.

Margate come into this game having played Glebe on Saturday, coming out 4-2 victors with the goals being scored by a Trialist, two from Emmanuel Oluwasemo, and one from Josh Oliver.

Drury commented on Troy Howard and Oluwasemo, who were two standout players from the fixture “We had a look at him (Oluwasemo) in training on Thursday and we know he can play left wing and up front, he didn’t like running back Thursday so I just said I'm going to try him up front today, and it paid off”

“Howard out there today was fantastic; 90 minutes and he looked like a threat all game”

“The main thing for me is his (Howard’s) attitude, he wants this, and he wants to work as hard as he possibly can, and he’s got attributes you can’t teach”.

Faversham Town on the other hand, are yet to start their pre-season campaign with this being their opening game. Last season they finished 12th in the Isthmian Southeast Division. One player ‘Gate fans may recognise is James O'Halloran who is a former Blues player and now resides with the Whites.

Faversham have had a lot of changes this pre-season so far appointing joint managers John Embery and Jermaine Darlington. Since their appointment, the Lilywhites have signed: James O’Halloran, Connor Cox, Tom Carlton, Connor Wilkins, Simon Kabamba, Alex Mulrooney-Skinner, Bradley Schafer, Danny Divine, Danny Rumbol, and Nathan Wood.

Tuesday night is Pay What You Want with all the money being donated to our Community Trust.

Kick-off is 7:45pm at Hartsdown Park with turnstiles opening at 6:30pm.
