Wingate and Finchley - 14 March

Margate look to complete a busy week of BetVictor Isthmian League action, heading to take on Wingate and Finchley for the second time in five days on Saturday afternoon.

The Gate will be very familiar with Saturday's opponents having hosted The Blues at HDP on Tuesday evening.

A single strike from Kadell Daniel was enough to merit three points for Jay Saunders' side who will look to make it three wins out of three against their hosts this season.

Saunders will still be without skipper Ben Swift but Noel Leighton returns for selection following a two-game suspension.

Additionally, Gillingham loanees Jimmy Witt and Tommy Lamb will be available following their mid-week absence as they assisted their parent club to victory against Dover Athletic in the Kent Senior Cup.

Manager Jay Saunders hopes Margate can build on positive back-to-back results and illustrate some consistency that has been somewhat allusive during the 2019/20 campaign.

"It's a challenge, as I don't think back-to-back games are ideal. It's great we've got the first advantage with a win but we know with the close scoreline, we cannot let any sort of complacency slip in for Saturday."

"Two wins and two clean sheets is something to build on. We have gone six games unbeaten in the League now and that's a good sign."

"We have gained a little ground with Tuesdays' win so we have to show a ruthless edge at the weekend and see it as an opportunity to play a side that's below us in the league and sneak up further on those above us."

Supporters planning to make the trip to The Maurice Rebak Stadium on Saturday can find Wingate and Finchley's Visitors Guide by clicking here.
