Margate Ladies host South East Counties Women's Football League leaders, Dartford Development this Sunday as they look to build on last weekend’s 5-0 victory away at Glebe.

This week the club have announced the appointment of Steph Meek as manager of the Ladies senior team, supported by assistant manager George Websper. The pair guided the team to an away victory last week with the team looking more determined and driven than ever. They hope to continue this focus and push the side to a victory at Hartsdown Park this weekend.

The teams have faced twice already this season with The Gate travelling away to Dartford two consecutive weekends in January.

Dartford Development took the points in the first meeting after an 8-0 victory at their home ground. However, returning the following week The Gate drew the unbeaten Development side 1-1 at Full Time in the County Cup, only falling behind to a 4-2 defeat in extra time. The team saw multiple injuries during the fixture and dropped to nine players in added time.

New signing Angel Foster will be available for selection after becoming Meek’s first signing this week. Foster returns to the game after a four-year absence. Foster last featured for Thanet Colts when she was 17.

The Gate currently sit just three points off 3rd place with an opportunity to move within three points of the league leaders during this fixture.

Kick-Off at Hartsdown Park will be 2:30pm with FREE entry to all supporters.
