MATCH PREVIEW / Lewes | 9.10.21
Lewes | 9.10.21
By Tommy Park
Margate are at Hartsdown Park this saturday hosting Lewes in the Isthmian Premier Division, hoping to add another victory to their unbeaten run of home games.
In what is Margate's eighth league game this season, the blues will be looking to continue good form on the back of their victory at home two weeks ago, in which they completed a courageous comeback after going 1-0 down to see young sub Godo, score a 90th minute winner.
The last time these two met, Margate travelled to ‘The Dripping Pan’ and were defeated 1-0 with the goal being scored by Blewden. This time Lewes come to face The Gate at Hartsdown park.
Currently sitting in eighth position with 14 points, a win this saturday would see Margate go above Lewes in the league with a game in hand. Three points at this stage could even see Margate jump as high as third depending on the results at Folkestone and Worthing.
Lewes will be coming to HDP on the back of a 3-1 defeat to Hornchurch where Joe Taylor scored their only goal.
This should lead to an enticing matchup as Lewes seek to bounce back from their defeat and the blues look to continue their unbeaten home run.
Kick off at Hartsdown Park is 3pm with turnstiles open from 1:30pm. As always if you are unable to attend you can keep up to date at the clubs official Twitter @margate_fc
