Abnett joins the Blues from Merstham where he was vital to their Bostik Premier League play-off campaign last season.
Abnett can play both Right Back and Right Midfield and will add further competition for places in Jay Saunders new look side.
The full back made his Blues debut on Saturday afternoon as the ‘Gate drew their opening pre-season fixture 1-1 against National League South side Welling United.
