Fitchett signs for the 2018/19 season after impressing with a series of composed performances for The Gate’s championship winning side last season.
The promising young defender becomes another player progressing through the ranks at Hartsdown Park and into the plans of Management duo Steve Brown and Mike Sandmann.
Sandmann believes the club’s latest signing has what it takes to become a regular next season.
“Ben has huge potential and Browny and I are looking forward to the opportunity of working with him on a week to week basis to continue his development at the club.”
“We’ve seen good things and heard a lot of positive feedback from Timmy Warden, who played a key part in the signing. He’s worked with Ben at Margate and Erith and we believe we’ve got the makings of a really good player.”
“Ben’s another young, ambitious footballer who we are pleased to have signed. We’ve said it before, but developing the player pathway is something we’re really focused on and this is another positive signing.”
