Alliance League Set Up Confirmed

With news that the ‘Gate will receive their 1st team 2018/19 schedule on Thursday 19th July at 9am, the Club is also pleased to confirm that it has received the constitution of the U19’s Alliance league which will see the Blues enter their brand new Academy side from September 2018.

The new Academy in partnership with Herne Bay High offers students between 16-18 the chance to play football as well as work towards a Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Sport whilst playing in the highest possible standard league outside of the professional game.

The Blues will line up against some big name sides including West Ham, Millwall and Crystal Palace. Games are usually played on Wednesday afternoons at 2pm to align with the student’s studies.

The league set up will include:

  • Bromley Whites
  • Charlton Athletic Trust 
  • Crystal Palace FA
  • Dartford Reds
  • Dulwich Hamlet
  • Greenwich Borough
  • Maidstone United Whites
  • Margate
  • Millwall Lions
  • Phoenix Sports 
  • Welling United 
  • West Ham United Foundation
