INTERVIEW / Cham: "I Hope To Cause Havoc"
Cham: "I Hope To Cause Havoc"
By Josh Cole
Winger Mo Cham says he “feels great” after the 1-1 draw with Erith & Belvedere on Thursday night as the ‘Gate continued their pre-season campaign.
“I feel great with that performance, I had a good performance last week against Tonbridge and it was a step up against Erith & Belvedere and probably my best performance so far and importantly getting a full 90 minutes so I can showcase what I can do.”
Cham says he is “happy” to be at Margate and is looking forward to getting started at Hartsdown Park when the season kicks off against Whitehawk on Saturday 12th August at Hartsdown Park.
“I’m really happy, coming from step five at Kennington to step three so it is a big jump, but I feel better than ever to make that jump and impress everyone and show them what I can do, everyone in the dressing room has welcomed me and I can’t wait to get started in the new season.”
Cham says he hopes to cause “havoc” for opposition defences, and showed his potential with a mazy run that saw him earn the Blues a penalty in Thursday night’s draw.
“I’m here to cause havoc for the opposition defences this season, that’s why I got signed and why they wanted me, so I can’t wait to get going and start getting the ball and driving at full-backs and defenders alike, I can’t wait to create chances, get goals and assists”.
The winger “can’t wait to get pre-season over as Margate conclude their pre-season schedule on Saturday at home to Isthmian South-East side Sheppey United.
“I’m looking forward to getting pre-season over and done with to be honest, it’s a tough test on Saturday but it’s always good to be in front of your fans as much as possible and I can’t wait to experience the atmosphere when the league starts”.
“My fitness is good, I played 90 minutes and I’m feeling better than ever physically and mentally and now I’m just raring to go”.
