Young Carer Enjoys Day At HDP
Earlier in the season, Margate Football Club unveiled a new match day scheme to provide those who deserve it most, a VIP day out at Hartsdown Park.
Funded by the Coyler Fergusson Charitable Trust, a local Young Career (YC) will be welcome to every home game of the 2019/20 season and treated like a super star.
The first of the guests to be welcomed to HDP was Jude. Jude was treated to a special match-day for Margate's match against Lewes. Jude enjoyed the experience so much, he contacted the club.
We thought supporters may like to have a read:
My day with Margate FC was amazing and I really enjoyed watching a real live game for the first time. My Dad and I were able to spend quality time together. It was totally different and something I haven't been to before. I was treated like a VIP all day.
My favourite bit of the day was walking out with the players, choosing man of the match and watching the game. Everyone made me feel welcome and the whole experience was incredible. We won the match and it was their first win this session so i must of been a lucky charm :-).
I would love to go to every home game and plan to go again this weekend. Thank you so much for the opportunity of allowing me to have this memorable experience.
Jude's Mum, Hayley added:
The boys had an amazing time and Jude hopes to go back this Saturday! He didn't stop talking about it and wore his scarf all that night and following few days (even in the hot weather!) He woke up and talked about it with his sister which was lovely to hear.
