A product of the Leyton Orient youth academy, Stevenson succeeded on loan at Heybridge Swifts before he moved to Charlton Athletic. He played three times for the Addicks in a two-year span.
Since leaving the south London club, Toby initially struggled to find a home, rarely playing for Watford, Bromley and Braintree on loan. He found his club when he moved to Billericay.
His most successful seasons of his career came at the Essex side, playing a combined 51 times from 2021-2023 scoring five goals. He was a consistent performer in the Blues backline and he got a move back to Braintree Town of the National League South. So far this season, he has played eight times scoring one goal.
Mark Stimson was pleased to solidify his defence with this signing. “I am delighted that we were able to sign Toby. He is a cracking player at this level, as shown by his performances at Billericay and we can’t wait to see what he can do in a Margate shirt”.
