Tangara Joins The 'Gate
Margate Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of experienced goalkeeper Amadou Tangara from Bognor Regis Town.
The Ivory Coast born ‘Keeper has been with Isthmian Premier side Bognor Regis Town most recently, as well as enjoying spells with Kingstonian, Cheshunt, Merstham and Dulwich Hamlet.
Eagle eyed Margate supporters would have noticed that Tangara played in goal on Saturday against Ramsgate in the Isle of Thanet Cup, however it wasn’t his first appearance for the Blues having played a handful of games for the ‘Gate in 2015 under former ‘Gate Manager Terry Brown.
Manager Andy Drury is pleased to capture the signing of Tangara.
“I have watched Amadou very closely over the last few seasons, and for me he has been the best in the league while at Bognor. Myself and Danny (Kedwell) tried to get him in at Cray Wanderers last season but he we couldn’t make that happen, so I am pleased he has joined me at Hartsdown Park.
Tangara will make his official second debut for the Blues in tonight’s pre-season friendly away at Chatham Town.
Everyone at Margate FC would like to welcome Amadou back to Hartsdown Park.
