MATCH PREVIEW / Merstham v Margate
Merstham v Margate
Margate travel to the Moatside Stadium on Saturday to face Merstham in the BetVictor Isthmian Premier League, looking to bounce back from Tuesday evenings 3-0 home defeat to Enfield Town.
The Blues suffered their first defeat in four games and Manager Jay Saunders will be looking for a reaction from his side.
Margate will come up against a team in poor form having only won once in their last eight games, a 1-0 win against high flying Horsham, otherwise it has been a disappointing season so far for the Moatsiders who are currently sat 20th place in the division just one place outside the drop zone on 19 points.
Margate go into the game having lost Roman Campbell and Kieran Monlouis whose loan spells have ended from Gillingham and Dulwich Hamlet respectively, while it appears Saunders has no new injury concerns ahead of Saturday afternoon.
The ‘Gate earned a 2-1 victory over Merstham in October when the two sides met at Hartsdown Park this season thanks to a goal in each half from Adem Ramadan and the Blues have history on their side having not lost to Merstham in any of their previous four encounters which includes two wins for the Blues and two wins.
Victory for the ‘Gate could see them rise to 11th in the BetVictor Isthmian Premier League.
Kick off at the Moatside Stadium is at 3pm and you can stay right up to date throughout the game on out Twitter @margate_fc
