We all need that escape, we all need somewhere or someone we feel safe to talk to or listen to us. For the good, bad and indifferent times.
At Margate Football Club, we've opened the doors of our changing rooms to open up the conversations that need to be had about men's mental health. It's not just about football. It's about life. For us football fans, it's sometimes hard to tell the difference isn't it.
In England, around one in eight men has a common mental health condition, such as depression, anxiety, panic disorder or obsessive-compulsive disorder. That's one person in each starting eleven of a football game.
